A warrior is wielding a greatsword with both a Superior Sigil of Air (chance to deal additional damage to target on critical hit) and a Superior Sigil of Earth (chance to inflict Bleeding on critical hit) attached to it.
Additionally, sigils with the same base sigil will share cooldowns between weapon sets.
The exceptions to this are the attribute increasing stacking sigils: only one stack effect can be active at a time. In general, the two sigils will both provide their effects independently as long as the base sigil is different. Sigil Bags, containing minor and major sigils, can be occasionally purchased from the Karmic Converter, Ley-Energy Matter Converter, or the guild trader Sigurlina Jonsdottir.Ī character can always equip two sigils at a time (either one sigil each on a main-hand and off-hand weapon, or two sigils on a two-handed weapon).Account Bound sigils introduced in Heart of Thorns can be purchased from: Itzel Mastery Vendor, Nuhoch Mastery Vendor, Exalted Mastery Vendor, Whispers Keeper, Heroics Notary.Some sigils are available from the dungeon Armor and Weapons Merchant in Fort Marriner in exchange for Tales of Dungeon Delving specifically: Sigils of Ghost Slaying, Justice, Dreams, Sorrow, Smothering, Wrath, Mad Scientists and Undead Slaying.Almost all sigils can be purchased on the Trading Post.Additionally, there is a Mystic Forge recipe to generate a random superior sigil.While all minor and major sigils can be combined this way, the forge only returns a subset of those sigils. You can combine four sigils of the same tier in the Mystic Forge, with an 80% chance of receiving a random sigil from the same tier and a 20% chance of it being the next higher tier.Crafting recipes will all require ingredients salvaged from other sigils such as Lucent Motes (refined into Piles of Lucent Crystals) and Symbols, of which there are three types Control, Enhancement and Pain.Any other salvage kit will give you Lucent Motes instead. Using a Black Lion Salvage Kit on the weapon will also give you the sigil intact.

Sigils can be recovered from weapons by extracting them using an Upgrade Extractor or Endless Upgrade Extractor.Most of these can be learned through their respective recipe, but several can be discovered or bought on the trading post. Almost all sigils can be crafted by artificers, huntsmen, or weaponsmiths.Legendary Sigils have the power to take on the properties of any Superior sigil.F Superior sigils require a level 60 weapon or above.E Major sigils require a level 39 weapon or above.Additionally there are Legendary Sigils which have the same function as Superior Sigils.
There are three tiers of sigils, Minor, Major, and Superior, each with its own minimum level requirement.
